Job Duties:
  • Display - Set up fresh meat cases and ensure products have the proper signage. Maintain an attractive product display to showcase freshness and quality, while following company standards for merchandising.
  • Sales Floor Maintain - Keep aisles and common walking areas clean/cleared of boxes and debris to prevent injury.
  • Replenish - Unload and break down deliveries; stock freezers with products; refill products to meet customer needs and rotate for freshness.
  • Dumping - Handle expired and recalled products properly. Keep accurate logs in accordance with the policies of the company, state food safety, and health regulations.
  • Stock - Arrange stockroom properly; stock shelves with products, rotate products using First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method.
  • Customer Service - Provide excellent service to the customer and answer any questions or concerns the customer may have.
  • PI Count - Work with other team members to conduct the inventory count.
  • Cleaning - Follow the company policy to clean the walk-in cooler and freezer. Follow company policy to clean and sanitize display cases, scales, and counters in a safe manner.
  • Meat Sales - Cut, wrap, and package items at customers’ request in a way that is efficient, and accurate.
  • Perform other duties for business needs.

Minimum Requirement:
  • Previous meat department experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of general meat product lines or similar experience.
  • Available to work on weekends and holidays or rotating schedules.

Skills Requirement:
  • Ability to communicate effectively to customers and team members.
  • Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and other company policies.
  • Requires proper training and knowledge of equipment operation.

Physical Demands:
  • Standing in place for a long period of time, bending to pick up items, and kneeling regularly.
  • Lifting items weighing 30 lbs or more with appropriate equipment.
  • Able to work occasionally with environment temperatures ranging from 32º to 50°F.

Salary:
