Job description

Responsibilities:

Assembles steel components per blueprint/drawing according to company standards and tolerances

  • Gather necessary material and perform layout per specifications
  • Operate overhead/jib cranes and forklifts
  • Set up and adjust welding machine to properly assembly parts
  • Use of power tools, combination squares and rulers to fabricate steel accurately.
  • Assist with welding/pre-welding if/when needed. 
  • Visually examine welds for quality standards

Overtime required when asked including some Saturdays

Location: Lansing, IL

Schedule/Shift Details

  • 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience as a Fabrication layout/Lead
  • 5+ years' experience welding and oxy/fuel cutting
  • Ability to read and understand blueprint/drawings, including weld symbols and assembly procedures.
  • Mathematical, technical and mechanical skills required
