Job description

Warehouse Associate

Job Summary:

Compensation: $20.32 - $25.38 / hour

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for executing various warehouse operations, including receiving and putting away materials, picking and fulfilling customer orders, cleaning and organizing the warehouse, conducting inventory counts, and assisting walk-in customers with order fulfillment.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Order Fulfillment
    • Pull materials to fill orders via a pick ticket in an organized fashion.
    • Check pulled goods quantity and type against sales orders to confirm accuracy.
    • Load customer or company vehicles with ordered goods in a secure fashion.
    • Place orders via computer sales order process as instructed by the DC Manager.
  • Receiving and Inventory Management
    • Unload and receive stock replenishment materials into the warehouse by prescribed company goods receiving process, checking the accuracy of quantity received and the quality of goods received versus the bill of lading and purchase order.
    • Put away goods received according to instructions of the DC Manager.
    • Note any damaged goods in the receiving process and notify the delivery Representative and DC Manager of damages following set company processes.
    • Perform inventories (cycle counting) as required per company policy to ensure accuracy of stock.
    • Work with inventory management to resolve discrepancies.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Have a working knowledge of all rules and regulations governing the safe operation of company-issued equipment.
    • Perform regular inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure safety compliance.
    • Follow safety training as prescribed by company, OSHA, and DOT guidelines and maintain the required safety certifications.
    • Report any incidents as prescribed by company guidelines.
    • Ensure clear and safe passage in all warehouse aisles and loading docks.
    • Report all unsafe storage and equipment issues to DC management immediately.
  • Warehouse Organization
    • Assist the DC Manager in organizing the warehouse layout and storage bins as required.
  • Other Duties
    • Other duties as beneficial to IDI.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Equipment Operation
    • Operate material handling equipment including a forklift, pallet jack, and shrink wrapper.
  • Identification and Coding
    • Identify product numbers and alpha/numeric codes.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Must meet physical requirements of the job.
  • Computer Skills
    • Use/learn computer order entry and inventory systems.
  • Goal Achievement
    • Achieve set goals in a timely manner.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent education and experience preferred 0-2+ years' experience in warehouse facility preferred Forklift experience preferred
