$15.00 - $19.50/HourlyActual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
Overview
The Waitstaff responsibilities include providing residents and their guests service above and beyond their expectations, ensuring a memorable food and dining experience. Knowledgeable of current menu options/ingredients and maintains a working knowledge of the dietary restrictions and preferences of the clients we serve. Works closely with and supports the kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are prepared and served correctly and in a timely manner.
What you will do
  • Follow standard service protocols as outlined in the Dining Service Training manual ensuring that residents and their guests are greeted and seated in a timely fashion and meals are delivered in a timely and gracious manner. Understand and is sensitive to the needs and preferences of our seniors and their guests, and professionally handle all requests or concerns regarding meal service as they arise.
  • Demonstrate commitment to customer service by working closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all orders are prepared accurately. Demonstrate positive interaction and support to all team members to provide seamless, timely, and accurate meal service to the resident/guest and team.
  • Complete daily duties, ensuring all opening and closing side work is accomplished to include restocking supplies as needed, completion of cold food prep (as applicable), and other duties as assigned. Assemble resident trays accurately according to menu/tray ticket information and ensure compliance to diet or allergy restrictions (where applicable).
  • Exhibit knowledge of menu details and resident accounting procedures. Knowledgeable in use of Food Service software/hardware utilized in obtaining resident orders at the table or bedside (as applicable).
  • Adhere to all quality controls as it pertains to Dining Services. Follow Policies and Procedures. Exhibit safe food handling to eliminate the risk of food borne illness to include glove use, hair restraints, labeling, dating, temperature monitoring and food rotation.
  • Follow proper technique for serving and clearing tables. Perform table set-up and break down of dining rooms while adhering to proper sanitation/disinfecting procedures in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident we serve
  • Utilize time management appropriately to complete assigned duties. Is punctual and prepared to work in facility approved uniform for all scheduled shifts.

Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED, (Preferred)

Experience
  • 1 year Customer service in a hospitality environment (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications
  • Food Handlers Card (FH) - VA State - ANSI-approved Food Handlers certificate program within 30 Days(Required)
  • Allergen Awareness Certification - VA State - ANSI-approved Allergen Awareness certificate program within 180 Days(Required)
