Title: Network Security Engineer - Risk, Vulnerability & Compliance Location: Riverwoods, IL, Chicago IL, McLean VA, Richmond VA, Plano TX, Atlanta GA, Boston MA Duration: 12 months Introduction We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team to support ongoing risk, vulnerability, and compliance management activities. This role requires a blend of technical awareness, organizational coordination, and risk management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience with ServiceNow and Jira, a foundational understanding of network and firewall technologies, and the ability to communicate effectively across compliance and remediation teams. Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
  • 3 years of experience in Network Security (firewalls, proxy, switching/routing, wireless).
  • Experience collaborating with compliance teams or auditors.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow for risk and vulnerability management.
  • Proficiency in Jira for Agile/Kanban/Sprint tracking.
  • Strong understanding of vulnerability management, risk analysis, and remediation planning.
  • Working knowledge of compliance principles and security frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, research, and analyze network and security issues.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Tableau or Power BI for reporting and dashboard visualization.
  • Experience in asset management and compliance reporting.
  • Exposure to automation or log analysis tools such as Ansible and Python.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Monitor, research, and manage vulnerabilities in ServiceNow.
  • Analyze vulnerability data, assess potential business impact, and coordinate appropriate remediation.
  • Partner with remediation champions to plan and track resolution activities.
  • Support compliance and risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Coordinate escalations to engineering teams for complex or high-severity issues.
  • Participate in sprint planning, Kanban tracking, and status updates using Jira.
  • Provide initial triage and troubleshooting for network-related risk incidents.
