What You'll Do: Generate and Maintain Business. Assume responsibility for a set of top assigned aggregate, asphalt, and/or ready mix accounts in multiple markets, plant locations, or geographic areas. Support pricing strategy decisions and negotiations. Spearhead Company effort to win contracts for megaprojects. Build Relationships. Serve as the primary point of contact for each assigned large account (may span multiple sales districts) and build mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders at each account. Account Planning. Prepare and execute account plans for each customer. Organize and facilitate planning conversations with assigned accounts in order to increase share of wallet. Gather Market Intelligence. Keep the Sales team well-informed of market and customer insights. Leverage Vulcan Resources. Understand market activity, make informed decisions, lead customers through customer sales lifecycle, and continually facilitate ease of doing business. Promote a Safe Environment. Display the importance of a safe and supportive working environment for all Vulcan customers, coworkers, and competitors. Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring: 

Experience: 5 to 8+ years of advanced B2B sales, account management, or commercial business development experience specifically within aggregates, concrete, asphalt, or adjacent heavy industrial sectors at the regional or divisional level.

Divisional Capability: Proven track record of managing multi-site, multi-million dollar regional customer accounts and navigating long-cycle, complex industrial project sales.

Analytical & Market Rigor: Strong capability to utilize regional market intelligence, local competitive data, and volume forecasting to solve complex supply chain, pricing, and logistical challenges.

Presence & Negotiation Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills with an innate ability to influence matrixed teams, negotiate high-stakes regional supply contracts, and maintain strong field-to-office presence.

Culture Alignment: Deep familiarity with-and commitment to-the Vulcan Way, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to environmental health, safety standards, integrity, and team-first collaboration.

Location & Mobility: Based out of our Phoenix, AZ office framework (100% onsite alignment) with the active willingness to travel across the assigned divisional footprint to interface directly with regional accounts and visit field projects.
