Professionals in this role work with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create dynamic, responsive, and scalable applications. Responsibilities often include developing components, managing state, integrating APIs, and optimizing performance. Vue.js developers may work on teams with designers, back-end developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality web solutions.

What are some common projects or tasks I would work on as a Vue.js developer?

As a Vue.js Developer, you will typically be involved in building and maintaining interactive user interfaces for web applications, ranging from dashboards to e-commerce platforms or internal tools. Your daily tasks may include developing reusable components, implementing state management, integrating APIs, and optimizing application performance. You’ll frequently collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate mockups into functional interfaces and work alongside backend developers to connect frontend and backend systems. This role often involves participating in code reviews, troubleshooting bugs, and keeping up with evolving best practices in front-end development. The experience gives you valuable exposure to full-cycle web development and opportunities to advance into senior developer or team lead positions.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and build robust, secure, and scalable full-stack systems using Ruby on Rails and Vue.js, including API design, data modeling, and front-end development.

  • Contribute to architecture discussions, establish engineering patterns, and participate in technical decision-making for platform initiatives.

  • Support the growth of junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, design feedback, and pairing.

Job description

We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help build our marketing and customer engagement platform. In this role, you'll design and develop data-driven, customer-facing features and backend services that power real-time personalization, campaign delivery, and transaction support. Our stack is Ruby on Rails on the backend and Vue.js on the frontend — and we value engineers who lead with strong product instincts, deep technical judgment, and a pragmatic mindset.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys owning features end-to-end, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners, and mentoring less-experienced teammates, with room to grow into broader technical leadership. We believe the best engineers today are fluent in AI — comfortable using AI-assisted development tools and thoughtful about how AI capabilities can be woven into product features and platform experiences.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Broomfield, Colorado office.

Responsibilities
  • Full-Stack Development: Design and build robust, secure, and scalable systems across our Ruby on Rails and Vue.js stack, with ownership from API design and data modeling through to rich front-end experiences.
  • Technical Contribution: Contribute to architecture and design discussions for key platform initiatives, and help establish and follow sound engineering patterns.
  • Mentorship: Support the growth of junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, design feedback, and pairing.
  • Performance & Quality: Identify and drive improvements to backend and frontend performance, and help raise the bar for code quality, testing, security, and observability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, and Customer Success to translate business problems into sound technical solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • AI-Augmented Development: Leverage AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery, and contribute ideas on where AI capabilities can add genuine value to the product.
  • Agile Delivery: Work effectively in an iterative, fast-paced environment — shipping frequently and adapting quickly.
  • Incident Response: Participate in resolving production incidents and contribute to post-incident reviews that prevent recurrence.
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with meaningful full-stack scope.
  • Solid experience with Ruby on Rails, including ActiveRecord, background job processing, API design, and service-oriented patterns.
  • Strong Javascript proficiency, including SPA architecture, component design, state management, and front-end performance.
  • Track record of owning and delivering complex features or projects end-to-end.
  • Strong RESTful API design experience, including versioning, authentication, and third-party integrations.
  • Solid database fundamentals, particularly MySQL or similar relational databases, including schema design and query optimization.
  • Ability to participate in technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Experience mentoring junior or mid-level engineers and contributing to a culture of technical excellence.
  • Familiarity with marketing or customer engagement platforms — campaign management, personalization engines, A/B testing, or equivalent — is a plus.
  • Good communication skills: able to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and working within cross-functional product teams.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) and interest in evaluating where AI/ML capabilities can be integrated into product features.
Bonus Points For
  • Experience with Go (Golang), Vue.js, and/or Node.js.
  • Experience integrating LLM APIs (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI) or building AI-powered product features.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts such as embeddings, vector search, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or fine-tuning.
  • AWS experience, including deploying and scaling cloud-based applications.
  • Hands-on experience with OpenSearch for search or analytics.
  • Use of Redis for caching, session management, or background jobs.
  • Exposure to Kafka or similar messaging systems in high-throughput environments.
  • Familiarity with Docker for local development or production deployment.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
  • Exposure to GDPR, CCPA, or similar data privacy regulations.
  • Background in B2B SaaS products or high-volume transaction systems.
