Job description

Job Summary:
The Data Collection Admin Staff will support the Indiana Department of Correction by researching, collecting, and analyzing court documents related to sex and violent offender registration. This role involves data entry, communication with law enforcement agencies, and ensuring accurate and thorough processing of sensitive legal information.
Responsibilities:
  • Research and collect court documents related to offender registration.
  • Analyze and interpret collected legal documents.
  • Communicate with local and state law enforcement agencies.
  • Enter data accurately into designated web portals and data systems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Division Staff.
Required Skills & Certifications:
  • Experience with data collection and data entry.
  • Knowledge of the Indiana Criminal Code.
  • Familiarity with the Department of Correction and the Criminal Justice System.
  • Comfortable working with court documents and legal terminology.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to process detailed and sensitive crime-related data.
  • Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with internal and external staff.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
  • Previous experience working with sex and violent offender registration processes.
  • Familiarity with victim services and related legal procedures.
Special Considerations:
  • Handling of sensitive and confidential information related to criminal offenses.
  • Compliance with statutory requirements related to offender registration.
Scheduling:
  • Regular shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
