Job description

Join Eyedeal Vision in Clermont, Florida, and be part of a growing private practice where relationships, quality care, and community connection come first. This is an exciting opportunity for an Optometrist to help shape the patient experience at a new Clermont location while delivering thoughtful, comprehensive eye care in one of Central Florida's most welcoming communities.

Why join us?

Eyedeal Vision is a family-owned private practice in Clermont, Florida, with more than 30 years of trusted community care. Since 1992, the practice has earned a strong reputation for exceptional, patient-centered eye care built on lasting relationships, honest recommendations, and the time needed to support each patient's best visual and ocular health outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to join the practice as it launches and grows its Clermont location while continuing the high-quality experience that has made its established practice successful for decades. With trained support staff, advanced technology, and a collaborative team culture, doctors are empowered to practice the way they were trained while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. As the Clermont location grows, doctors can expect a manageable schedule starting at approximately 8-12 patients per day, with planned growth to 16-20 patients per day and opportunities to support the continued expansion of medical optometry services throughout Central Florida.

What you'll do:
In this role, you'll have the tools, support, and clinical autonomy to provide thoughtful, comprehensive care from the moment a patient walks through the door. Using advanced diagnostic technology, including Optos ultra-widefield retinal imaging, OCT, retinal photography, automated refraction, digital exam lanes, Goldmann tonometry, visual field testing, and EHR-integrated tools, you'll perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and manage ocular disease, prescribe glasses and contact lenses, review imaging, educate patients, and document care with accuracy and attention to detail. Working closely with trained support staff, you'll help create a smooth, high-quality patient experience while supporting the practice's growth and strong clinical standards. This opportunity offers a full-time schedule of 32-40 hours per week across four to five days, with part-time options available.

Who you are:

You have an Optometry degree from an accredited program and an active Florida optometry license, or the ability to obtain one. You bring strong communication skills, professionalism, and a commitment to patient-centered care, with a genuine interest in building lasting patient relationships and becoming a trusted provider in the Clermont community. The ideal candidate is compassionate, relationship-driven, and motivated by quality care over high-volume production, with experience or interest in medical optometry, ocular disease management, dry eye care, glaucoma management, diabetic eye care, specialty contact lenses, retinal imaging interpretation, and co-management of cataract and refractive surgery preferred. You'll enjoy educating patients, collaborating with a supportive team, embracing advanced technology, and maintaining strong clinical standards in a practice that intentionally schedules patients to give doctors the time to connect, educate, and provide outstanding care without feeling rushed. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Why you'll love Clermont:
Clermont offers the best of Central Florida living, blending small-town charm, scenic lakefront views, and an active outdoor lifestyle just west of Orlando. Known for its rolling hills, lakes, parks, and trail system, Clermont is a great place to enjoy biking, running, boating, fishing, and weekend time outdoors. Its historic downtown adds to the appeal with local restaurants, shops, breweries, community events, farmers markets, and walkable access to the Lake Minneola waterfront. With family-friendly neighborhoods, year-round recreation, and convenient access to the greater Orlando area, Clermont offers a welcoming, well-rounded place to live, work, and build lasting community connections.

You'll enjoy a range of benefits, including:

  • Competitive salary plus bonus opportunities
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
  • Malpractice coverage
  • Continuing education reimbursement
  • License reimbursement
  • Employee and family optical benefits
  • Flexible scheduling options
  • Strong support staff
  • Advanced technology
  • Long-term growth opportunities within a family-owned private practice

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Optometry license in Florida
