Job description

Job Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician who knows commercial systems. You’ll be diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of commercial equipment across Palm Beach, Broward and Miami Counties. This is a field-based role for a self-starter who takes pride in quality work and represents Aspen professionally on commercial job sites.

Duties

  • Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems: split systems, packaged units, DOAS, VRF/VRV, mini-splits, PTACs, and chilled water systems is limited
  • Perform preventive maintenance under our Energy Savings Maintenance Plan (ESMP)
  • Troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, and controls systems (DDC/BMS)
  • Service diverse property types: office buildings, retail, restaurants, healthcare, multifamily, and more
  • Communicate clearly with property managers, facility directors, and building owners
  • Document service calls, parts used, and system findings accurately
  • Participate in the after-hours emergency on-call rotation
  • Maintain your company vehicle, tools, and equipment to Aspen’s standards

Required

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on commercial HVAC service experience (residential-only experience will not qualify)
  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
  • Strong working knowledge of: rooftop units, split systems, VRF/VRV, chilled water systems, and commercial controls
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and equipment schematics
  • Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Must pass drug screening
  • Ability to work in South Florida field conditions — heat, heights, rooftops

Preferred:

  • Experience with Carrier, Trane, Daikin, Lennox, York, Mitsubishi, or LG commercial equipment
  • Experience with BAS/DDC controls
  • NATE Certification
