About You
We are seeking someone who is service driven to work full or part-time as part of an amazing team of Psychiatrists. You will be working with adults (18-59) who are diagnosed with a chronic mental illness (ex: schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, PTSD).
You will need:
- Full Vaccination against COVID-19 – CA required
· Current professional medical license issued by the State of California Medical Board and an active DEA number.
· A valid California driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a good driving record as documented by a DMV report.
· A Medical Degree (psychiatry) plus significant management training. Board Certification and four years’ supervisory experience preferred. Completion of physician executive leadership coursework and management skills training is expected.
Your Responsibilities
The Psychiatrist implements services designed to meet the needs of clients (private pay and county), hospitals, county contracts and staff. May under general direction, provide medical supervision, coordination and training of staff engaged in providing psychiatric services. Works closely with VP of Operations to integrate all operations in the organization and to assure appropriate continuity of care. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Provides high quality psychiatric services and documents services to the highest operational standards.
• Monitors and reports on the company goals within the context of client services— quality assurance, disease management, and clinical outcomes.
• Implements ongoing Quality Improvement Plan, Compliance Plan and Safety Plan and demonstrates success in mitigating complex risk management issues.
• Develops, implements, evaluates and trains clinical practice protocols in collaboration with the clinical staff, facilitating the use and adoption of evidence-based practices.
• Participates in the development of clinical information systems and electronic medical records to allow proper utilization of clinical data and feedback regarding practice patterns and performance.
• Works within the company policies and procedures designed to promote company philosophy within and outside the company, and to build a company image.
• Ensure that all clinical documentation is entered into the Harmony Medical database within 3 business days of providing services.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• General knowledge of facility operations.
• Make independent decisions and uses good judgment in applying facility polices rules and regulations.

• Must be able to edit, use proper English and make arithmetical computations.
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Understands and accurately follows brief oral and written instructions.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with company staff, county staff as well as the public.

Special Requirements: Must be able to meet and receive criminal record clearance as required by Title XXII, licensing regulations. This includes FBI and DOJ clearance. A health screening, by or under the direction of a physician, must have been performed not more than one year prior to employment or within seven (7) days after employment. Health screening must include TB clearance not more than one year prior to employment or within seven (7) days after employment. Must have a “valid” standard first aid card and CPR card from an accredited institution. Must be physically able to assist clients and /or staff in the evacuation of program facility in emergency situations. Must be able to administer first aid and CPR in an emergency situation if assigned to a residential facility.
Physical Requirements: The following are required in day-to-day performance of duties of the position: walking, sitting, pinching and finger flexion, and visual/auditory acuity are required constantly, (over 2/3 of the workday); lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling and twisting are required occasionally (under 1/3 of the workday), balancing, climbing and crawling are generally not required.
