Job Description Summary

Prince George’s Community College has been a national leader in expanding access to affordable, industry‑aligned education for more than 60 years, serving students across Prince George’s County, Washington, D.C., and the surrounding region. At a moment of renewed vision and ambition, the College now seeks a Vice President of Administrative Services to help shape its next chapter of impact.

The Vice President (VP) for Strategy and Administrative Services provides executive‑level support to the Office of the President, serving as a strategic partner with expertise in project management, analysis, and research. The position oversees institutional initiatives, leads specialized workgroups, participates in key committees, and coordinates executive‑level communications on behalf of the President.

The VP also ensures alignment of presidential priorities across areas, fosters cross‑functional collaboration, and amplifies the college’s mission through strategic messaging, coordinated outreach, and high‑level stakeholder engagement. The VP will serve as a strategic advisor and key aide to the President and executive leadership team and directs, coordinates, and facilitates the implementation and management of key strategic initiatives. Additionally, the VP establishes performance‑monitoring and reporting frameworks to evaluate the impact of strategic and project‑management efforts, ensuring continuous improvement and institutional effectiveness.

This position reports directly to the President and provides leadership for Government Relations and External Affairs, Governance, Strategic Planning and Project Management, and the Office of the President.

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master’s in Public Administration) or equivalent experience in higher education administration.
  • Exceptional leadership and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives in a complex organizational environment.
  • Strong analytical, research, and communication abilities.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams and working closely with senior executive leadership.
