Vice President of Operations

Richmond, Virginia or Remote USA

Preferred Location: Richmond, VA (open to Remote USA)

Role Summary

The Vice President of Operations leads the execution of operational strategy for the Conserva Irrigation franchise system. This role is responsible for achieving business unit financial objectives, improving franchisee unit economics, and delivering world-class training, coaching, and support. The VP ensures alignment with Empower Brands' strategic goals while building the infrastructure, talent, and accountability needed to drive sustainable system growth.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Strategy

  • Assist in setting strategic direction and aligning brand objectives with Empower Brands' overall goals
  • Provide overall direction and guidance for system-wide operational activities
  • Establish and evolve operating policies, standards, and service offerings to strengthen the brand

Franchisee Performance & Support

  • Lead the support team in delivering proactive training, coaching, and mentoring to franchisees
  • Drive improvements in franchisee performance, unit growth, and profitability
  • Oversee onboarding of new franchisees and ensure effective ramp through ongoing reinforcement

Financial Performance & Accountability

  • Own achievement of annual budget and EBITDA targets
  • Monitor financial performance and ensure alignment with monthly and annual goals
  • Ensure appropriate metrics, reporting, and accountability systems are in place

Commercial Division Leadership

  • Oversee development and growth of the commercial irrigation division to meet national and regional customer needs
  • Ensure alignment between commercial initiatives and broader operational strategy

Sales, Training & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Partner with the Director of Sales & Training to support sales effectiveness and franchisee growth
  • Collaborate with Marketing to drive lead generation and revenue opportunities
  • Support development and execution of training programs, regional meetings, and annual conventions

Team Leadership & Development

  • Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing team including Franchise Business Coaches and functional leaders
  • Build organizational capability to support continued system growth
  • Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and franchisee success

Brand Stewardship & Compliance

  • Maintain strong knowledge of franchising and industry dynamics to evolve the business model
  • Ensure adherence to legal guidelines, brand standards, and ethical business practices
  • Build strong relationships with franchisees to support long-term success

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in franchise, multi-unit, or home service based operations
  • Proven ability to drive business performance, operational execution, and team development
  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L management and KPI-driven decision making
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships and influencing performance across a distributed network
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Ability to travel up to 30%

The estimated compensation range for this position is $160,000 to $180,000 annually. This position is also eligible for yearly performance bonus. Actual compensation for the position is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to years of experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
