Job description

Director / Vice President of Marketing

Barletta Boats is seeking a strategic and commercially minded marketing leader to help shape the next chapter of our premium brand. This opportunity may be structured as either Director of Marketing or Vice President of Marketing, depending on the selected candidate’s skills, experience, leadership scope, and demonstrated ability to influence both business-unit and enterprise-level outcomes.

This leader will be responsible for advancing Barletta’s brand, market position, digital retail strategy, social presence, marketing technology, analytics, and AI-enabled marketing capability. We are looking for someone who can move marketing beyond traditional execution into a more strategic, insight-led, digitally enabled, and commercially connected function that supports long-range growth and strengthens Barletta’s position as a premium pontoon brand.

Founded on a commitment to creating exceptional boating experiences, Barletta Boats is proud to be part of Winnebago Industries (NYSE: WGO), a family of premium outdoor recreation brands that includes Winnebago, Grand Design RV, Newmar, and Chris-Craft. Together, these brands share a passion for innovation, quality, and craftsmanship while retaining their own unique identities and legacies. Through the strength of the Winnebago Industries portfolio, Barletta combines entrepreneurial agility with the resources, expertise, and vision of a global leader in outdoor recreation.

About the Opportunity

The Director / VP of Marketing will define how Barletta shows up in the market, how customers and dealers experience the brand, and how marketing strategy translates into measurable business impact. This role requires progressive thinking around brand strategy, the future of boat buying and digital retail, dealer and customer engagement, marketing analytics, AI-enabled workflows, VOC-driven insights, and cross-functional commercialization.

The ideal candidate will bring strong emotional intelligence, practical resourcefulness, and the ability to build momentum by leveraging expertise across the enterprise, dealer partners, agencies, vendors, and external thought leaders. This is a highly critical leadership role for someone who can connect brand, customer, dealer, product, digital, social, analytics, and commercial priorities into one integrated marketing agenda.

Role level will be determined by experience: Candidates with strong functional leadership, team development, digital marketing, and brand execution experience may be considered at the Director level. Candidates with broader enterprise leadership experience, executive influence, measurable commercial impact, strategic transformation, and proven ability to lead a modern marketing function at scale may be considered at the Vice President level.

What You’ll Lead
  • Brand strategy and market position: Elevate and protect Barletta’s premium brand position across customer, dealer, media, product, social, digital, and internal touchpoints.
  • Digital, social, and marketing technology: Establish a clear roadmap for the website, dealer portal, digital retail capabilities, social media platforms, asset management, lead-management workflows, web analytics, and related marketing technologies.
  • Customer and dealer experience: Shape Barletta’s point of view on how premium boats are researched, configured, purchased, supported, and experienced over time.
  • Marketing analytics and performance: Build dashboards, scorecards, and operating rhythms that connect marketing activity to outcomes such as brand health, website traffic, lead generation, lead quality, conversion visibility, campaign ROI, dealer engagement, and growth priorities.
  • AI-enabled marketing innovation: Identify practical ways to develop AI competency and automation to improve speed, quality, personalization, insight generation, lead scoring, campaign optimization, content development, asset organization, customer segmentation, and workflow efficiency.
  • VOC and market intelligence: Partner with Sales, Product Development, CX, and dealer partners to organize customer and dealer signals into actionable recommendations.
  • Commercial storytelling and growth support: Translate Barletta’s long-range growth strategy into marketing actions that support market share expansion, lead generation, dealer confidence, lot-share improvement, new dealer support, and targeted distribution priorities.
  • Product launches and commercialization: Lead integrated marketing planning for model year rollover, new product introductions, product updates, dealer communications, website updates, social content, asset readiness, and go-to-market execution.
  • Dealer enablement and industry presence: Ensure dealers have the tools, content, communications, events, training support, and brand confidence needed to represent Barletta effectively.
  • Content, PR, and credibility: Lead the strategy for boat tests, editorial opportunities, boating publications, influencer relationships, customer stories, testimonials, premium visual assets, and public relations.
What We’re Looking For
  • Progressive marketing leadership experience with responsibility for brand strategy, digital marketing, marketing operations, analytics, customer experience, and team leadership.
  • Experience leading marketing transformation, technology adoption, agency/vendor partnerships, content strategy, events, and integrated campaign execution.
  • Strong understanding of dealer, channel, retail, or durable goods selling environments; marine, powersports, RV, automotive, or premium lifestyle product experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data, dashboards, insights, and measurable operating rhythms to guide decisions and improve outcomes.
  • Practical and growing fluency with AI-enabled tools, marketing automation, CRM/lead management, digital asset management, web analytics, and customer journey optimization.
  • Executive presence, strategic communication skill, emotional intelligence, and the ability to influence cross-functional leaders, dealer partners, external agencies, and industry stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in building capability, solving problems, and delivering outcomes by leveraging internal teams, enterprise expertise, dealer partners, agencies, vendors, and external thought leaders in a budget-conscious environment.
Leadership Characteristics That Will Matter
  • Strategic and enterprise-minded: Able to think beyond campaigns and collateral to understand how marketing influences brand equity, customer demand, dealer confidence, product commercialization, market share, and long-term growth.
  • Progressive and future-oriented: Curious about digital retail, social media, customer journey design, AI, data-driven marketing, customer segmentation, content personalization, and the future of premium boat buying.
  • Emotionally intelligent and relationship-driven: Builds trust quickly, listens well, adapts communication style, and influences effectively across internal teams, dealers, agencies, vendors, and external partners.
  • Commercially grounded: Understands that marketing must connect to lead generation, website traffic, dealer engagement, conversion, market share, product launch success, brand strength, and return on investment.
  • Creative but disciplined: Values brand storytelling, content quality, events, PR, social engagement, structure, prioritization, timelines, accountability, and follow-through.
  • Resourceful and collaborative: Knows how to scale impact by leveraging internal talent, enterprise expertise, dealer partners, agencies, vendors, industry relationships, and external thought leaders.
Success in the First 12–24 Months
  • A clear marketing strategy that aligns brand, dealer support, product launches, digital retail, social presence, VOC insights, analytics, and commercial priorities.
  • Improved consistency and strength of Barletta’s premium brand presence across customer, dealer, media, social, product, and internal touchpoints.
  • A modernized digital, social, and marketing technology roadmap with clearer ownership, improved usability, stronger data flow, and measurable performance expectations.
  • More visible customer journey and lead performance insights, including lead generation, website traffic, lead quality, conversion visibility, dealer engagement, and follow-up effectiveness.
  • Improved execution discipline around model year rollover, product launch readiness, boat shows, dealer communications, content planning, social activation, and event support.
  • Practical adoption of AI and automation in the marketing function, with clear use cases, governance, and measurable productivity, quality, or insight improvements.
  • A stronger, more scalable marketing team operating model with defined priorities, accountability, cross-functional alignment, resourceful use of internal and external expertise, disciplined budget management, and a consistent cadence of reporting and decision-making.
Why Barletta?

At Barletta, marketing is more than a support function. It is a critical connector between our brand, our dealers, our customers, our products, and our long-range growth strategy. This is an opportunity to help shape how a highly regarded premium pontoon brand continues to grow, differentiate, innovate, and deliver a customer and dealer experience that reflects who we are.

If you are a marketing leader who combines strategic thinking, modern digital fluency, commercial discipline, creativity, collaboration, and a genuine interest in building future-ready capability, we would like to connect with you.
