VOSS Automotive is a leading global supplier to on-highway and off-road OEMs, specializing in the design and manufacture of Diesel Exhaust Fluid Lines, Coolant Lines, Air Suspension Lines and Fittings, Fuel Lines and Fittings, and Quick Connects and Accessories. With our headquarters in Germany and operations worldwide, we combine engineering excellence with a collaborative, forward-thinking culture.
We are expanding our team and seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on Chief Financial Officer to join our executive leadership team. This role is crucial in shaping the financial health and future direction of our North American operations, aligning closely with our global strategy.
The Chief Financial Officer will support the Controlling/Finance Department by performing the following duties:
Job Duties:
  • Analyze accounting and controlling variances; investigate discrepancies and provide clear explanations or corrective actions.
  • Develop and execute financial strategies that support company growth and profitability.
  • Oversee all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and corporate policies.
  • Provide actionable insights to drive informed business decisions.
  • Manage banking relationships, audits, and risk management activities.
  • Partner with senior leaders on strategic initiatives, investments, and capital allocation.
  • Collaborate effectively with international teams, including headquarters in Germany and production facilities in Mexico.
  • Forecast plant sales and operating income and explain variances to the plan.
  • Monitor plant profitability and communicate events that significantly affect revenues to the CEO and appropriate corporate personnel.
  • Manage plant cost reduction efforts.
  • Prepare the annual budget and long-range plan.
  • Prepare year-end audit package and resolve plant audit issues with external auditors.
  • Assume responsibility for the integrity of the financial statements.
  • Maintain reserves for all identifiable plant liabilities.
  • Administers and maintains all corporate financial records, including books of original entry, supporting schedules, and subsidiary ledgers.
  • Establishes and maintains all corporate policies related to accounting matters.
  • Collects and analyzes corporate financial data to provide management with internal reports.
  • Provides for an annual budgeting and planning process to ensure long-term financial and business strategy.
  • Supports all levels of the corporation in budget preparation through training and by providing relevant information when appropriate.
  • Establishes and maintains cost accounting standards for the corporation to be implemented.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of senior-level financial leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing or automotive industries.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and communicate findings clearly.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Ability to write clear reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
  • Skilled at presenting to diverse audiences, including executives, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed, including internationally, a few times a year.
