Position: Teen Specialist  
Full Time or Part Time: Full Time
Hours: 40 hours per week, including Saturdays and one evening per week 
Pay rate: $19.50-$21 / hour, DOQ; paid bimonthly (every other Friday) 
Do you enjoy working with teens? Morton Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and organized individual to plan and run programs for grades 7-12 while sharing a love of books and providing readers advisory services. This is a full-time position that collaborates regularly with the Children's Librarian, Youth Services Outreach Manager, and Adult Services Coordinator in addition to routinely providing good customer service at the Checkout and Information Desks. Other responsibilities include collection development of young adult materials, coordinating teen volunteers, and preparing a monthly teen newsletter. 

This is a 40 hour per week, non-exempt position with an ideal schedule of Tuesdays 9 am - 5:30 pm, Wednesdays 11:30 am - 8 pm, Thursdays 9 am - 5:30 pm, Fridays 9 am - 6 pm, and Saturdays 9 am - 5 pm. 

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, education and/or library science courses preferred. 
Customer service experience preferred.
