Position Summary


As a Dishwasher at The Salt Shed, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and flow within the kitchen and back-of-house areas throughout service. This role is essential to supporting a smooth operation and overall guest experience in a fast-paced, high-volume concert venue environment. We’re looking for someone dependable, team-oriented, and able to work efficiently while maintaining a clean and safe workspace.


Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans in a timely and efficient manner
  • Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and properly
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary dish station throughout the shift
  • Rotate clean dishware back to the line and service areas to support uninterrupted service
  • Remove and dispose of garbage and recycling; replace liners and maintain clean waste areas
  • Sweep, mop, and clean kitchen floors, mats, walls, and surfaces as directed
  • Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries
  • Support kitchen staff with basic prep tasks as needed
  • Communicate equipment issues or supply needs to the Kitchen Manager promptly
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health code standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

About You:

  • 0–1 year of kitchen or dishwashing experience preferred, but not required
  • Valid Food Handler Certification required (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Availability to work Wednesday through Sunday, 4:00 PM to close (~11:00 PM)
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent energy throughout a full shift
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards
  • Positive, team-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with others
  • Able to take direction and work within a team-focused environment
  • Basic understanding of kitchen organization and workflow is a plus
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift, with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Comfortable working in a warm, fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to water, steam, cleaning chemicals, high noise levels, and common food allergens
