Volunteer Manager | Food Bank for Larimer County | Loveland, CO
Full-Time

Every year, more than 54,000 people in Larimer County face the impossible choice between paying a bill and putting food on the table. At the Food Bank for Larimer County, we believe that shouldn't be a choice anyone has to make. Since 1984, we've been the only Feeding America food clearinghouse in the county — operating no-cost markets in Fort Collins and Loveland, a Mobile Market, and a Nutritious Kitchen serving children and seniors — all in pursuit of one vision: a hunger-free Larimer County. None of it happens without the more than 4,800 volunteers who show up every week to make our work possible.

We're looking for a Volunteer Manager who understands that volunteers aren't just extra hands — they're the heartbeat of this organization. In this role, you'll lead a team of two Volunteer Coordinators and take full ownership of our Volunteer Program: recruiting and scheduling across three locations and multiple annual events, building relationships across departments, and creating the systems and culture that keep people coming back. You'll work closely with our Chief Operations Officer on program strategy and budget, and you'll bring the organizational skill and warm communication style that this community deserves. Spanish bilingual candidates are especially encouraged to apply (with an additional $1.00/hour differential), and experience in volunteer coordination, HR, or nonprofit management is a plus.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in volunteer coordination, human resources, recruiting, or nonprofit organization management strongly preferred
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced, frequently shifting environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including generational and cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse perspectives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems; familiarity with volunteer management software (such as Volgistics or Volunteer Hub) a plus
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred; must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English at a professional level
