Do you love working with young children and helping them discover the joy of reading?

Oxford Learning West Vancouver is looking for a warm, energetic, and patient Little Readers Teacher/Tutor to work with our youngest students and help them build strong foundations in reading, language, and learning.

This is a great opportunity for university students, recent graduates, education students, early childhood educators, experienced tutors, and teachers who genuinely enjoy working with young children.

Teaching certification is not required.

About Little Readers

Our Little Readers program supports young learners as they develop the foundational skills they need for school and become confident, enthusiastic learners.

You'll work with young students on skills such as:

  • Letter recognition and sounds
  • Phonics
  • Early reading
  • Vocabulary and language development
  • Listening and comprehension
  • Early writing skills
  • Number sense and early math
  • Attention and learning skills

All programming and teaching materials are provided, so there is no lesson planning required.

Schedule

We are looking for candidates who can consistently work at least 2 days per week.

Weekday shifts: approximately 3:30PM-6:30 PM

Consistent availability throughout the school year is strongly preferred.
