Role Summary

We are looking for a candidate who are team players, with a passion for software development and technology, as well as a results-oriented approach. The ideal candidate is an avid communicator and life-long learner, who is eager to contribute to the team's success. This project may represent a new set of challenges that will provide the right candidate exposure to new clients, new business issues, as well as will involve a range of responsibilities.

This role will be operating on a hybrid schedule with one to two (1-2) telework days a week on-site out of San Antonio, TX (Ft. Sam Houston). Due to the nature of this role, it is not eligible for sponsorship. The expected pay rate is $36/hr to $45/hr.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, test and deploy web applications that meet project requirements.
  • Partners closely with business analyst, other senior developers, and managers on all projects.
  • Evaluate detailed business, functional, and mid-level technical requirements including recovery, security, and compliance.
  • Participate in various design projects from concept to completion.
  • Provide responsive design solutions to help build optimal user experience.
  • Continually improve, update, and maintain existing web pages.
  • Understand the project requirements and concepts.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and leadership to ensure the implementation of their ideas.
  • Implement feedback from other designers and team members to improve design.
  • Communicate continually with the Senior team to understand requirements of a project and to make sure that the work done meets such requirements.
  • Craft and fine tune the UI of websites that you develop; make decisions on the fly to make the UI better.
  • Check your work and make it work across platforms and devices using cross compatibility tools.

Requirements:

  • Three to five (3-5+) years’ experience with Web and mobile applications development using .NET, C#, MVC4/5, and .NET Core 3+.
  • Experience with .Net 4.5/4.7, Linq, C#, ASP.net, CSS3, CanvasJs, JavaScript, JSON, jQuery, Angular, Node, AJAX, HTML5, Bootstrap 3/4, Razor, MVC5, and Web APIs and responsive web design.
  • Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodologies and test-driven development.
  • Knowledge and experience of relational database schemas including XML and SQL, including writing, and maintaining SQL stored procedures and SSIS packages.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Visual Studio 2012+, use of Team Foundation Server and TCM, and source control applications such as Git.
  • Familiarity with DISA Application STIG's and secure coding principles with regards to application development within the DoD environment.
  • Knowledge of Shell scripting, any scripting language (Python, Ruby, PHP or other).
  • Demonstrated ability to self-direct, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Exceptional communicator with both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts, project updates, questions, and blockers clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented development environment, partnering with developers, project managers, business analysts, testers, and other stakeholders.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a focus on coding, troubleshooting, documentation, testing, and reviews to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency.

Experience:

  • Must hold a qualifying Computer Science/Technical Degree OR equivalent professional experience paired with an approved DoD 8140 certification such as a Security + certification.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records/Electronic Medical Records (EHR/EMR).
  • Prior DoD (Department of Defense) experience preferred.
