The Aparecio Foundation provides academic support and scholarship programs for high-potential, low-income women in public high schools through an eight-year multiple-mentor program.

This is a unpaid Volunteer / Intern position.

Job Description

The PR and Social Media Content Developer will assist with this goal by creating an online presence and keeping up to date and relevant information connected to Aparecio Foundation's social media websites.  This position is also responsible for innovation and expansion of job scope and responsibilities as the both the foundation and position grow!


Description of Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Research "Girl Power" and other blogs with relevant content as well as any other applicable online content and post them on the foundations social media websites (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, and Active good site).
  • Design, redesign and or update social media sites as needed.  Remain up to date with current social media trends.
  • Create the foundations banner ads for Google, 7-8 campaigns and sponsored links.
  • Respond to requests for information; act as online spokesman or information source.
  • Collaborate with others in the organization to identify key trends and key group interests or concerns to provide effective communications to the public and to employees.
  • Attend professional meetings, training workshops, and read publications on the field to enhance professional competence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree.  Masters preferred.
  • Have some work experience in related field.
