After School Program Staff

HeyTutor has partnered with a school district in Glendale and we're looking to hire after school program staff who can assist elementary students after regular school hours. You will be working with students of all ages between K-5th.

You must be comfortable passing an IN-PERSON background check.

Pay: Range $18-$23. Pay depends on a combination of education and experience and will be determined at the time of the interview. Tutor Rewards & Benefits: 1. Attendance-Based Pay Incentives. 2. Job Duties
  • Serve as after-school program staff representing HeyTutor
  • Supervise and manage a group of 10–20 students independently, without on-site teacher or school staff support
  • Oversee students for the full duration of the program, ensuring a safe and structured environment
  • Prepare daily activities and materials in advance of program start
  • Take and maintain accurate student attendance records
  • Distribute and monitor snack time
  • Support students during homework time, providing guidance as needed
  • Facilitate enrichment activities to promote engagement and learning
  • Coordinate safe and organized student dismissal with parents/guardians
  • May be responsible for picking up and dropping off students from designated areas in school site
  • Leading a group of students in the tutoring session, using curriculum and materials provided by the program
  • Creating an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging that kids want to be in
  • Supporting students in making positive behavior choices
  • Engage and interact with tutoring lessons alongside the students
  • Daily clocking in and out of Deputy for shifts; and
  • Any other duties that may be required by the Company, your manager and/or the School Site.
Schedule

Monday-Friday. 4 hours per day. Times will range between 12pm to 6pm.

40 After School Program Staff needed afterschool (between 12-6pm)

Requirements
  • Childcare experience (great at working with kids)
  • Comfortable working in a classroom or playground setting
  • Clear FBI-DOJ background check (provided through us)
  • Negative TB Test Result
  • Bathroom assistance may be required
  • Additional duties may be required based on the District/Student need
