MBA Consulting Services, Inc. (MBA CSi) is seeking a Project Coordinator / Data Analyst to support the United States Postal Service (USPS) Engineering Headquarters in Merrifield, VA. This position, upon award, will support the Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) Modernization Program, a nationwide initiative focused on modernizing the technology, data, and operational processes behind one of the nation's largest powered industrial vehicle fleets.

In this role, you'll serve as the communication and coordination hub for a high-visibility engineering program, helping keep projects on track while transforming complex operational and deployment data into meaningful insights for leadership. Working alongside engineers, technical specialists, and program managers, you'll coordinate project activities, develop executive dashboards, analyze program performance, and support data-driven decision-making that directly impacts USPS operations nationwide.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an early-career project management professional who enjoys combining project coordination with data analytics while contributing to large-scale federal modernization initiatives. The position is located onsite at the USPS Engineering Headquarters in Merrifield, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and day-to-day project activities across multiple modernization initiatives.
  • Monitor project performance and develop meaningful key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success.

  • Analyze deployment, operational, and telematics data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support predictive analytics efforts to anticipate maintenance needs, project risks, and operational challenges.
  • Monitor project health, identify potential risks, and recommend mitigation strategies to support successful project delivery.
  • Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, status briefings, and other project documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, information technology, business, and program management teams to ensure effective communication and project execution.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Help ensure projects remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, business analysis, IT support, or project management.
  • Experience developing dashboards using Power BI or similar business intelligence and data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Visio, Microsoft Project, or similar project management and collaboration tools.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a USPS Public Trust clearance.

ย Preferred Qualifications

  • CAPM, PMP, ITIL 4, Agile, Scrum, AI, or other relevant professional certifications.
  • Experience supporting engineering, technology, or federal modernization programs.
  • Knowledge of predictive analytics, KPI development, business intelligence reporting, or data-driven decision support.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments supporting engineering, IT, and business stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and continuous process improvement initiatives.
