Job description

About us:

Napa Home & Garden is a wholesale home décor brand headquartered in Norcross, GA, and one in a family of highly regarded brands under C&F Enterprises. Known for its distinctive, artisan curated product assortments, Napa serves style-conscious independent boutique retailers, specialty stores, designers and trade customers, and a growing DTC channel.

Job Purpose:

Napa Home & Garden is evolving from a traditional buying organization into a strategic merchandising powerhouse, and we're looking for a Buyer/Product Manager who thinks like a business owner, not just a purchaser. If you've built category strategy, owned a P&L, or driven growth through a blend of data and design instinct, in home, retail, or CPG brand management, this is a chance to bring that discipline to a design-forward wholesale brand at a real inflection point.

What You'll Own

The Buyer/Product Manager is responsible for the overall commercial success of key product categories from strategy to building compelling assortments and driving profitable growth.

  • Product Assortment Planning. Translate key category strategies grounded in consumer insight into seasonal product roadmaps that deliver profitable growth. Own your assigned category product lifecycle from ideation through on-time product launches and end-of-life decisions. Work with Design from concept through launch, evaluating commercial viability at every stage.
  • The P&L. Own launch success for your categories: sales, margin, forecast accuracy, SKU productivity, and category growth.
  • Consumer Insight. Continuously monitor consumer trends, competitor assortments, pricing strategies, retailer feedback, sales data and macroeconomic conditions to identify opportunities before competitors.
  • Vendor Relationships & Negotiation. Lead negotiations on cost, MOQs, and exclusivity; build the global supplier relationships that give Napa a lasting competitive edge.
  • Cross-functional Influence. Lead cross-functional teams through influence, aligning Design, Sales, Marketing, and Operations around a common category strategy to launch product on time and on strategy.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years in Buying, Merchandising, Category Management, Product Management, or Brand Management, with real accountability for a category
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field
  • Experience managing product categories with measurable financial accountability
  • Demonstrated success with product development, building assortments, managing product lifecycles and sourcing processes
  • Strong analytical, financial acumen and attention to detail. Excel skills; comfort with ERP, PLM, or BI tools a plus
  • A sharp eye for design and an instinct for what makes a product sell
  • The confidence to challenge assumptions and the collaboration skills to bring people along with you
  • Sound judgment and integrity in communication and decisions
  • Bonus points: experience in home décor, furnishings, or lifestyle categories; international sourcing exposure; managing a direct report

Physical requirements

  • Sitting, Standing, Walking
  • Prolonged use of computer involved; use of hands and finger coordination; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision. Color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus as needed.
  • Twice a year during Market periods, standing and walking for 8-12 hours each day

Benefits:

  • Health insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Employee assistance program
  • Flexible Spending Account
  • Health savings account
  • 401(k) and 401(k) matching
  • Company paid life insurance and long-term disability insurance
  • Voluntary Life Insurance
  • Voluntary Short-Term Disability
  • Paid time off

This is a hybrid role based at our Norcross, GA headquarters. Candidates should expect to be in the office up to 3 days a week. Extended hours and select weekends during peak season, showroom prep and market (twice annually).

The successful candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

All applicants are required to successfully complete a background check and drug screening as part of the pre-employment process. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and must not require sponsorship now or in the future.
