Job description

Precision CNC Turning Specialist

Love bringing prints to life on Mazak/Haas lathes? At Blast Cleaning Technologies (BCT), the shot blast innovation leader, you’ll program, set up, and produce precision parts from start to finish.

Extra pay: $4.00 shift premium.

Is this you?
  • Can you read and write G- and M-code with confidence?
  • Do you build efficient programs in Mastercam (or similar CAD/CAM) and fine‑tune them at the machine?
  • Are you skilled at designing fixturing, setting up tools, and running parts complete to print?
  • Do you verify every critical dimension before sending parts to inspection?
What you will do
  • Program via Mastercam or longhand; calculate feeds/speeds and optimal toolpaths.
  • Mount, align, and secure tools, fixtures, and workpieces; set offsets and prove out processes.
  • Run first articles; measure with gauges and precision instruments; adjust for perfect conformance.
  • Change tools, refine parameters, and stop machines when sequences or tooling need updates.
  • Perform routine maintenance to keep equipment in top shape.
  • Support production runs with robust setups and documentation.
  • Model and reinforce BCT’s culture and core values on the floor.

Responsibilities can expand as business needs evolve.

What you need to bring
  • High school diploma (or equivalent).
  • 4+ years programming with Mastercam or longhand G/M code.
  • 4+ years setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills.
  • Manufacturing experience; foundry exposure a plus.
  • Ability to lay out features from engineering drawings.
  • Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented; strong computer comfort.
Tech you’ll touch
  • CNC Lathes (2–4 axis): Mazak, Haas; plus 5‑axis turning.
  • CNC Mills (3–4 axis VMC, Fanuc) and 5‑axis VMC (Fanuc).
  • Mastercam for CAM; precision inspection and gauging.
Core capabilities
  • CNC tooling selection and changeover; production setups.
  • G-Code/M-Code; manual machining fundamentals.
  • Equipment troubleshooting and process improvement.
  • Tape measure reading; advanced inspection and gauging.
Why BCT?
  • Pay for skill and talent with a competitive package.
  • 401(k) match up to 6%.
  • Medical: BCT covers 90% of premiums; low deductibles; zero coinsurance; broad networks.
  • Generous PTO plus many paid U.S. holidays.
  • Casual, friendly shop with a practical dress code.
  • Historic West Allis location upgraded by a $2M+ investment.
  • Innovation mindset: Ongoing reinvestment, including our cutting‑edge foundry.
  • Amenities: Free coffee and popcorn, summer cookouts, and more.
  • Tuition reimbursement and continuous learning support.
