Pay Transparency:

The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $60,000-70,000/yr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Overview:

We are seeking a Digital Content Lead to direct our digital production team and expand our sports footprint across Washington, D.C. This role requires a hands-on leader who combines sharp editorial instincts and audio/video technical expertise with a proven ability to mentor content creators and grow our digital brand.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Manage, train, and coach a dedicated team of digital content producers to refine their storytelling, technical skills, and daily output
  • Oversee all aspects of digital content production across web, short/long-form video, social channels, and podcasting
  • Manage time-shifted podcast production, operational workflows, and multi-channel syndication to maximize reach and audio monetization
  • Draft and polish punchy, high-converting headlines and copy that hook casual sports fans and drive organic search and social traffic
  • Work closely with cross-functional departments - including Programming and Product Ops - and periodically contribute to and collaborate with our New York sports market
Qualifications

Required & Preferred:

  • In-depth knowledge of both the Washington, D.C. and New York sports scenes, with an intuitive pulse on what content resonates with everyday fans on social media
  • Strong familiarity with 106.7 The Fan and The Team 980 programming, talent, and show lineup
  • Hands-on proficiency with tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud for long and short-form video editing (Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects, etc)
  • Experience with graphic design and photo-editing platforms including Adobe Photoshop and Canva
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a team-first attitude focused on brand growth, cross-departmental alignment, and joint station initiatives
  • Experience leading digital editorial teams, managing digital production workflows, or running a high-volume sports media output
