We are seeking a Senior Data Visualization Developer to join our team and support our client.

The ideal candidate will be an expert in designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-wide dashboards and visual analytic products that provide clear, actionable insight to HSI and HSTF leadership, integrating disparate data sources into cohesive visual narratives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise dashboards and visual analytic products supporting HSTF and HSI leadership decision-making.
  • Integrate multiple data sources (e.g., trade, financial, communications, travel, and supply-chain datasets) into coherent dashboard solutions that provide consistent visibility across headquarters and field offices.
  • Design intuitive visualizations that highlight patterns, anomalies, and trends relevant to transnational criminal organizations and related threats.
  • Collaborate with advanced data analysts and data SMEs to ensure visual products accurately reflect analytic findings and operational priorities.
  • Optimize dashboards for performance, usability, and accessibility in a high-volume, mission-critical environment.
  • Support continuous improvement of visualization standards, style guides, and best practices for the analytic enterprise.

Work Experience and Job Skills

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in data visualization, BI development, or similar roles, preferably supporting federal agencies or complex enterprises.
  • Advanced expertise with Tableau and other BI/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik) used to build interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and integration concepts to support robust reporting and visualization.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytical requirements into intuitive visual designs and user experiences.
  • Experience working with large, multi-source datasets and optimizing dashboards for performance and scalability.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to visual consistency, clarity, and storytelling.

Education

  • Bachelor''s Degree is required. Preferred field of study in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field of study.
  • MBA/Master''s Degree in a relevant field of study preferred.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

  • Certifications in Tableau or other BI platforms are preferred.

Communication Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain design decisions and visualization concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to write clear and concise documentation for dashboards and visual products in a confidential environment.

Clearance Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance is required.

Travel

  • Occasional travel may be required to support stakeholder engagements, training, or collaboration with field offices.

Environmental Requirements

  • Mainly a routine office environment.
  • May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds.
  • Flexible in working extended hours.
