Job description

Job Title: Control Panel Technician

Job Description

This role focuses on building, wiring, and testing custom electronic test equipment for a wide range of applications in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and defense. The Technician works closely with a Project Engineer or Project Manager to solve technical issues, maintain project schedules, and drive projects to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Build custom circuit boards and cables according to drawings, schematics, and customer specifications.
  • Perform electronic assembly of wires and connectors, ensuring secure and reliable connections.
  • Build and route wire harnesses for use in custom test equipment and control panels.
  • Assemble, wire, modify, and test electromechanical systems based on engineering documentation and customer requirements.
  • Build and wire control panels using OEM crimp tooling and related hand tools.
  • Prepare wires through cutting, stripping, tinning, and soldering to meet quality and reliability standards.
  • Perform soldering on printed circuit boards (PCB) and other electronic assemblies as required.
  • Use diagnostic and test equipment, including digital multimeters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, and power supplies, to conduct functional testing and troubleshoot

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in automotive repair, electrical technology, electronics, or electronics testing.
  • Experience assembling electronic test boards.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and project leaders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in all assembly and testing tasks.

Pay and Benefits
