Job description

Computer Science HelpDesk Tutors provide assistance to students in Introductory and Intermediate courses. The student tutors can help review lecture topics, suggest approaches to textbook and homework questions, provide additional examples and problems, and aid in exam preparation.
Department: Computer Science
Location: Computer Science Lab
Supervisor: Chair
Hours/Shifts Available: As scheduled
Rate of Pay: $16.00/hr
Number of Positions available: 6
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Provide assistance to students in Introductory and Intermediate courses.
  • Help review lecture topics, suggest approaches to textbook and homework questions, provide additional examples and problems, and aid in exam preparation.

HelpDesk Tutors work in 2-hour shifts, typically 1 2 hour shift each week, in coordination with the other HelpDesk Tutors. There is an additional weekly half hour all Tutors meeting.
Location: Schenectady, NY
