Job description

Essential Job Functions
  • Support, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and branch connectivity.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and SD-WAN environments supporting regional and remote locations.
  • Administer and troubleshoot firewall policies, NAT, routing, and VPN solutions including site-to-site IPsec, SSL VPN, and remote access clients.
  • Coordinate circuit provisioning, ISP/carrier activities, and connectivity across MPLS, DIA, broadband, and LTE/5G services; perform testing and failover validation.
  • Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, perform packet captures, and resolve connectivity and application performance issues.
  • Support wireless networks through troubleshooting, optimization, RF analysis, and site survey activities.
  • Execute approved network changes, maintain documentation and network diagrams, and adhere to established configuration and security standards.
  • Manage Jira support tickets, provide branch and field support, participate in on-call rotations, and travel as required (up to 50%).

Education & Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting enterprise network and IT infrastructure environments.
  • Previous experience as a Network Administrator, Network Support Engineer, or similar technical role.
  • Experience troubleshooting switching, routing, firewalls, wireless networking, and VPN technologies.
  • Experience supporting multiple sites, branch offices, or distributed enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of network troubleshooting methodologies, incident management, and operational support processes.

Preferred Experience/Skills
  • Hands-on experience with Fortinet platforms (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiClient, FortiNAC) including firewall policy troubleshooting, SD-WAN, and high-availability environments.
  • Strong networking expertise across Layer 2/3 technologies (VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, DHCP, DNS, QoS) and enterprise network security solutions.
  • Experience with Network Access Control (802.1X, RADIUS, device profiling, policy enforcement) and wireless troubleshooting using tools like Ruckus, Hamina, Kismet, or Ekahau.
  • Proficiency with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, Wireshark, Syslog, Datadog, and Splunk.
  • Working knowledge of automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Ansible) along with relevant certifications (Fortinet FCA/NSE/FCP, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent).

  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time, some light lifting may be required in some instances.
  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
