Senior Hand Therapist (OT or PT) – Outpatient Boston Longwood Medical Area & Chestnut Hill $46–$72/hr | $10,000 Sign-On / Retention Bonus Join a leading Boston academic medical center in a highly specialized Outpatient Hand Therapy role. We're seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist with strong clinical expertise treating upper-extremity conditions (hand, wrist, forearm, elbow). Work directly with renowned Hand Surgeons in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.

About the Role This Senior Hand Therapist is an independent, skilled clinician with at least 4 years of experience. You'll manage a diverse outpatient caseload, support departmental initiatives, and serve as a clinical resource for both staff and students. What You'll Do Complete comprehensive evaluations and create targeted, functional treatment plans Provide advanced outpatient hand therapy to adult patients (18–85) Triage walk‐in consults and prioritize workflow in a busy multispecialty clinic Collaborate with Hand Surgeons and interdisciplinary team members Support orientation for new staff, supervise students/aides, and participate in QI initiatives Contribute to practice standards, program development, and departmental committees Assist with equipment management and technology recommendations Monitor referrals and clinic trends; escalate issues as needed Qualifications Education: Bachelor's required; Master's in OT or Doctorate in PT preferred Licensure: Current MA OT or PT license Graduate of an accredited OT or PT program CHT preferred Experience: Minimum 4 years of clinical experience in hand therapy Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced clinic Physical capability to support outpatient therapy needs Why This Role Stands Out Competitive pay range: $46–$72/hr $10,000 sign-on/retention bonus Work at two exceptional clinic locations Comprehensive benefits: tuition reimbursement, CEU support, generous PTO, pension/cash balance account, MBTA subsidy, medical/dental, and more Supportive, collaborative, team-focused environment Opportunities for career advancement within a nationally ranked teaching hospital
