Base Pay Range: $75,000 - $95,000 USD

Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors and this range represents an estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Base salary is only one part of our compensation package for this role. You may also be eligible for company stock and annual bonus. Responsibilities What We’re Looking For:

Iridium is seeking aNetworkEngineer II to support and maintain Iridium’s Gateway telecomand dataarchitecture andassociatedservice subsystems. In this role, you will serve as a key support resource, assisting withfinal-tierescalationsupporttoground systems operations, includingGateway Technical Operations(GTO), Tier 2 Customer Support, and Service Delivery teams. In this role, you will gain valuable experience with satellite telecom gateway technologies across on‑premise and cloud environments. You willcontributedirectly tothe triage activities that impactservicereliability, operationalexcellence, and newservicedeployments.

What You’ll Do:
  • Collaborate withsenior engineers,vendors, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues
  • Assist intheoperationand maintenance ofGateway subsystems and services, both on‑premise and cloud‑based
  • Support the administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system, including script updates, alert response, dashboard monitoring, and periodic system reviews
  • Assist in theidentification, investigation, and resolution ofoperational issues
  • Work closely with the Operations team to enhance maintenance procedures and improve troubleshooting success
  • Partner with team members to ensure that high‑quality products and services are ready for production deployment according to schedule
  • Investigate and resolve Tier 2 customer tickets
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation for Gateway network elements and infrastructure
  • Provide technical support to both internal teams and external partners
  • Primarily support the Iridium Certus service suite
Qualifications What You’ll Need to Succeed:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 2+ years ofof relevant experience in the telecommunications or a related technical field
  • Working knowledge of Linux (Red Hat/CentOS), IP network infrastructure, VMware, ATCA platforms, and database systems/tools (Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL) from installation through maintenance
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present information and ideas to others
  • Have confidence and be able to easily build meaningful relationships with your manager and members of your team
  • Must be able to prioritize your tasks, be self‑aware enough to identify and correct mistakes, and not be afraid to ask for help when needed
  • Be active in seeking out ways to improve yourself and gain new knowledge, and be enthusiastic in sharing knowledge with others

  • Be on callto support major network issues
