Position Summary

The Content Writer is responsible for creating and executing overall SEO and content strategy across channels, enhancing organic marketing efforts across each brand’s ecommerce websites and other channels to optimize traffic and performance.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging and SEO-friendly product descriptions for each brand’s products, highlighting features, benefits, and unique selling points.
  • Create persuasive marketing materials, including email campaigns, social media posts, and website content, to drive customer engagement and sales.
  • Generate informative and well-researched blog articles that align with the brand’s “voice” and overall marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align content strategies with overall business objectives and promotional campaigns.
  • Conduct thorough research on industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor offerings to inform content development.
  • Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to enhance visibility and drive organic traffic to each brand’s e-commerce platform.
  • Utilize AI tools to efficiently generate content ideas, improve productivity, and enhance content quality.
  • Ensure consistency in brand “voice”, messaging, and style across all written materials.
  • Stay up to date on best practices in content marketing and e-commerce to continuously enhance content quality and effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Content Writer or similar role, preferably within the e-commerce or consumer goods industry.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to efficiently churn massive amounts of content and generate creative ideas.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
  • Ability to conduct in-depth research and translate findings into compelling content.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS)
  • Familiarity with SEO tools such as SEMrush or similar platforms for keyword research and competitor analysis.
