Speech Language Pathologist

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Job Description                  

 Provide screening, identification, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, intervention i.e, prevention, restoration, amelioration, compensation and follow up services for the disorders.
• Use special instruments and qualitative and quantitative assessment methods, including standardized tests, to analyze and diagnose the nature and extent of impairments.
• Develop an individualized plan of care, tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Monitor individual clients progress and provide counseling and consultation and make referrals, if needed. Recommend effective communication development techniques and strategies.
• Work alongside occupational therapists to help patients develop, or recover, reliable communication and swallowing skills so patients can fulfill their educational, vocational, and social roles.
• Train and support family members and other communication partners of students with speech, voice, language, communication and swallowing disabilities.
• Provide speech and language remediation services. Implement individualized service plans for assigned cases to improve communicative efficiency of children with speech language disorders.
• Review individual files to obtain background information.
• Recommend effective communication development techniques and strategies.
• Monitor individual clients progress.
• Maintain supervision contact record and prepare daily sessions notes and progress report.
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, interpreters, other school personnel, and parents to develop and implement individual or group programs, provide counseling, and support classroom activities.

Speech Language Pathologist

Job Requirements

Require Master or equivalent in Speech Language Pathology/Audiology or related field with at least 2 yrs of work experience as SLP OR in lieu will accept Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 5 years of relevant work experience.

• Must hold valid license from the CA Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Board.

• Must be willing to travel or relocate , as required at company paid expenses.
