They are seeking a Virtualization Administrator to support Virtual Infrastructure and VDi Infrastructure for Iowa Workforce Development, focusing on the design, administration, and troubleshooting of VMware systems and Microsoft Windows servers.
Responsibilities:
• ESXi scripting experience and automation in support in server commissioning and maintenance
• Diagnostic of and troubleshooting common guest / host issues
• Monitor resources usage, making required adjustments for host / guest issues
• Virtual machine creation, cloning, and configuration
• VMware cluster configuration
• VMware Horizon maintenance and support
• Maintain network security by managing host security, file permissions, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users
• Virtual Center administration and troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; including documentation
• Develops and maintains appropriate system documentation to ensure that documentation is current and accurate.
