Waste Services

VLS Waste Services provides customized waste processing solutions for hazardous and non-hazardous industrial and commercial waste, including landfill diversion and sustainability programs, solidification of liquid waste, recycling, wastewater treatment, and waste sequestration.

Railcar Services

VLS Railcar Cleaning and Repair Services division provides specialty cleaning services for difficult-to-clean products, including chemicals, hardened materials, and pressurized gases, and comprehensive repair services for certified full-service repairs, tank car qualifications, and maintenance.

Marine Services

VLS Marine Services division offers state-of-the-art barge cleaning, repair, and gas-free facilities for various chemical solvents and downstream petroleum products.

The CDL Class B Driver I - Vacuum & Box Truck Driver will be responsible for hauling Non-Hazardous waste and must be experienced with driving Class B trucks, loading box trucks, and operating vac trucks. This includes the need to support operations during high demand times to ensure the success of the business.

Responsibilities:

  1. Loading, unloading, and safely transporting non-hazardous materials and operation of the box truck and vac truck, as well as facility equipment. Willingness to cross train on roll off equipment.
    • Types of equipment include, but are not limited to front end loaders, excavators, forklifts
  2. Safe and responsible operation of assigned equipment while maintaining appearance of company equipment to meet company standards.
  3. Interfacing and creating a Wow! Experience for our clients at the point of delivery.
  4. Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/ or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
  5. Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after pickups.
  6. Must have the ability to make minor repairs is a plus (light bulbs, fuses, minor air leaks).
  7. Must have the ability to identify and report equipment malfunction or damage

Requirements:

  1. CDL Driver must have good driving history and pass background check.
  2. Class B CDL with Tanker Endorsement
  3. CDL Driver must pass DOT drug screen, physical, and road test.
  4. Driving experience required
  5. Box truck with liftgate and vacuum truck operational experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

  1. The employee must lift up to 50 pounds
  2. Be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  3. This position will require wearing personal protective equipment
  4. Ability to do repetitive motion (lifting, pulling, and loading hoses/pumping totes and drums)
