JOB DESCRIPTION DESIGN SPECIALIST / ARCHITECT


Arise Homes is a new home builder and developer dedicated to providing beautiful, quality homes at an affordable price point. Join a dynamic and customer-focused team dedicated to helping families find their dream home. As the Design Specialist / Architect, youll be pivotal in designing efficient, aesthetically appealing, and buildable residential floor plans, while ensuring alignment between architectural vision and construction feasibility. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the sales, permitting, and construction teams to deliver a seamless customer and building experience from design through final construction.


ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelors degree in architecture or related field (Masters preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years experience in residential design or production home building.
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; knowledge of other design software a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of residential building codes and permitting processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • A proactive problem solver who stays a step ahead.
  • Motivated and self-directed while operating within set guidelines.

HOW YOULL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Design functional and innovative residential floor plans in alignment with market trends and builder specifications
  • Develop and maintain accurate architectural drawings and full construction plan sets using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Ensure all architectural, structural and truss plans align
  • Revise and update plans based on construction feedback and evolving project needs
  • Partner with the sales and design teams to develop, implement, and refine finish selections and upgrade packages
  • Support visualization of design options for clients and internal teams
  • Prepare and coordinate all required documents for construction permitting, including city, county and utility approvals for multi-family and single-family homes
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, zoning laws, and permit requirements
  • Provide construction support by interpreting plans and answering field questions
  • Collect feedback from field teams to inform future design updates and efficiency improvements


REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

The Design Specialist / Architect reports to the Operations Manager.


JOB HOURS

  • 40-45 hours per week (8am 5pm, M-F).
  • Lunch meetings are occasionally required.
  • After hours and weekends may be necessary on occasion for trips, events, or to meet deadlines.
  • Travel is occasionally required.
