Job description

Job Summary and Mission
This job contributes to Starbucks success by leading the creation and implementation of design concepts for Starbucks retail stores and assigned Starbucks business units. Develops point of sale fixtures, new product packaging, trade show booths, interior space planning and merchandising systems. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Communicates visual plan for promotions or events to visual communication team for production of schematics for the newsletter to retail partners and other communication tools. Maintains project schedules, timelines, and budgets, and assists in preparation for team and project meetings. Acts as a leader and mentor within the team.
- Designs presentation and general product layout and schematics for retail stores.
- Enhances the Starbucks experience for customers by collaborating with the department director and category teams to develop and define the visual presentation strategy for basic standards, promotions, events and product launches for Starbucks retail stores in North America.
- Leads graphics projects and programs that meet stated company objectives, promote company brand identity and enhance the Starbucks experience for the consumer.
- Participates in general space planning for products, based on store product capacity and product assortments. Works with other team members to develop fixtures, props and decorative materials for retail stores as they relate to store programs. Manages interior visual displays.
