Job description

Salary Range: $95,000.00 To $105,000.00 Annually

About Causal

In the age of algorithms and automation, Causal offers a fresh take on the role of a programmatic solutions provider. Our approach to digital marketing emphasizes the importance of human expertise layered with technology to make informed marketing decisions. We hire some of the industry's most sought-after experts and empower them to approach challenges from new angles, driving change in the way marketers interact with technology.

At Causal, successful campaigns begin long before they launch. Our Advertising Operations team plays a critical role in ensuring every creative asset, tag, tracker, measurement partner, and user experience functions properly before reaching consumers.

Who you are

Causal is searching for a Sr. Advertising Operation Manager. Unlike traditional Ad Operations roles that focus primarily on end-to-end campaign setup, reporting, and optimization, this position specializes in the creative side of digital advertising.

As a Senior Advertising Operations Manager, you will be a technical leader and subject matter expert within the Advertising Operations team. This role is responsible for all core functions of the Advertising Operations Manager position while helping scale the team’s knowledge, processes, and operational excellence. In addition to supporting creative implementation, troubleshooting, quality assurance, test pages, and client-facing screenshots, the Senior Advertising Operations Manager acts as a mentor, trainer, and escalation point for the team. This individual plays a key role in developing best practices, improving workflows, documenting processes, and helping team members grow their creative technical expertise. You will work closely with Account Operations to ensure campaigns launch successfully and deliver the best possible user experience.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex creative tag implementation challenges, leading troubleshooting efforts, and driving operational excellence across campaign launches. One day you may be troubleshooting a complex third-party ad tag implementation or appending a measurement vendor pixel. The next, you may be reviewing HTML5 creative code, developing internal documentation, or training team members on platform setups.

If you're interested in developing and furthering your career while being a key contributor to the company’s growth, this is the place for you!

Key Responsibilities (Not limited to) Creative Implementation
  • Traffic, QA, and launch programmatic creative assets across multiple DSPs, ad servers, and media platforms.
  • Deploy standard and non-standard creative implementations across display, mobile, video, audio, native, connected TV (CTV), digital out-of-home (DOOH), and rich media environments.
  • Review, test, and validate third-party creative tags, tracking pixels, and measurement implementations prior to campaign launch.
  • Review creative assets for platform compliance, functionality, and adherence to technical specifications.
  • Assist with creative and exchange audits.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for creative-related implementations and technical requirements.

  • Validate implementation of third-party verification and measurement vendors, including IAS, DoubleVerify, Dynata, Quorum, Lucid, Kantar, and similar partners.
  • Partner with internal teams, platform support teams, and vendors to investigate and resolve creative-related issues.
  • Create client-facing screenshots, test pages, creative mockups, and visual projects that accurately represent creative execution across various devices and environments.
  • Assist with image and video adjustments, including trimming, resizing, re-encoding, file conversion, compression, and optimization to meet platform requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvements and workflow efficiencies that support operational excellence.
  • Serve as a primary subject matter expert for creative implementation, ad serving technologies, measurement solutions, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members on complex implementations and escalations.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members.
  • Mentor team members by sharing technical knowledge, troubleshooting approaches, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency inspecting code, troubleshooting tags, and identifying implementation issues using debugging tools.
  • Experience working with third-party ad servers, including but not limited to CM360 (DCM), Innovid/Flashtalking, and Celtra.
  • Experience working with DSPs, including but not limited to DV360, The Trade Desk, Yahoo DSP, and Amazon DSP.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and drive operational improvements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or similar editing software.
Experience and Education
  • 3+ years of experience in digital advertising operations, ad trafficking, creative implementation, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience mentoring, training, or onboarding strongly preferred.
