The Manager, Visual Merchandising plays a key role in driving  End-to-End Visual Strategy, influencing alignment & collaboration with key stakeholders, concepting & deploying scalable presentation strategies, developing execution tools/guides, and elevating the in-store experience. Our core capabilities are: Visual Merchandising, Styling as well as Training & Communications.  Ideal candidates will be able to lead through ambiguity, foster connectivity with the cross-functional team (Merchandising, Space Planning, Marketing, Store Operations, etc.), educate and promote Walmart Visual Merchandising as an essential function and be ready to roll-up their sleeves.    All candidates will be required to share their work portfolio. This role will be based in Bentonville, AR.  You will make an impact by: 
  • Partnering with Director and/or Senior Manager on developing strategy for Communication & Training and aligning with key partners 
  • Managing the execution and implementation of in-store visual merchandising solutions (e.g., display, fixture placement, lighting, materials, and in-store signage), in collaboration with Merchandising and Marketing, for large or complex projects.
  • Managing various Visual Merchandising projects involving cross-functional teams from inception to store delivery 
  • Utilizing space planning and visual merchandising techniques to operationalize presentations
  • Developing Visual Merchandising tools, resources, and onboarding guides at Home Office and Field
  • Co-lead in-store Visual Merchandising training sessions with key partners
You will sweep us off our feet if you:   
  • Translate innovative thinking into innovative solutions that are grounded in market knowledge and customer insights  
  • Operate with customer and store team centricity at the forefront  
  • Are always one step ahead and can quickly identify opportunities with Home Office process and store execution before they arise
  • Effectively stretch across multiple functions (styling, merchandising, communication, store operations etc.) to support the broader team
  • Have the aptitude for building strong partnerships, presenting to, and influencing partners
  • You can work through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment and lead multiple complex projects at once.
Minimum qualifications: 
  • 3+ years of Visual Merchandising experience, including 2+ years corporate experience and 1+ years of in-store experience 
  • Strong communicator, organizational/time management skills and is a self-starter
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, Sharepoint
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Travel domestically to and from multiple facilities or worksites that may require consecutive overnight stays.
Preferred qualifications: 
  • BA/BS degree in Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Communications, Design or related field and/or equivalent experience 
  • Experience with Big Box Retailer 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite & Sketchup 
  • Familiar with planograms (POG) or modular creation
