ABOUT THE ROLE

Location: Dallas store

Status: Full time

Compensation: $22-23/hr

Position Summary:

The Visual Merchandiser will work with their General Manager as well as the Visual Merchandising Manager(s) and Director of Retail Visuals to create, implement, and execute all merchandising strategies to increase product effectiveness, brand image and sell throughs. The Visual Merchandiser is the store's storyteller in product merchandising and execution. They drive the customer experience through detailed standards and product impactful imagery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the look and feel of the store and all departments.

  • Partners with their General Manager and Visual Merchandising Manager to merchandise store and update displays daily/weekly.

  • Implement and execute all visual merchandising directives communicated from General Manager, Visual Merchandising Manager and/or the Director of Retail Visuals

  • Lead any visual training/educational moments for the store team.

  • Work closely with the stock team to ensure the product gets on the floor in a timely manner.

  • Conduct weekly walk-throughs with management to understand and analyze how visual moments can be amended/improved to better impact overall business.

  • Maximize the space and layout of the store based on given SKU management.

  • Partner with General Manager, Visual Merchandising Manager and the Director of Retail Visuals to conceptualize new and fresh visual store ideas.

  • Assist store management team with housekeeping responsibilities including but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, collection of trash, and other tasks traditionally associated with standard retail operations.

Special Projects/Tasks:

  • Efficiently assist in the execution of any cycle counts, physical inventories or other inventory management task(s) as required by the business

  • Travel to support other stores, as required by the business

REQUIREMENTS

Availability:

  • Open & flexible availability, including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as Holidays.

  • Availability to consistently work weekends, special projects, drops/releases or as the business' needs require.

Experience:

  • 2-3 years management experience in a customer facing role

  • 2+ years in a merchandising/visual focused role

  • 1+ year experience with Google Suite (slides/docs/sheets), preferred but not required.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Effective and thorough communicator

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once

  • Efficient time manager

  • Ability to lift and move 25lbs.

  • Ability to perform standard tasks that are related to retail operations including but not limited to, bending, twisting, and climbing ladders/step stools.

  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
