GENERAL PURPOSE: Responsible for leading and elevating store/field communications with a primary focus on visual and graphic communication design that drives clarity, engagement, and execution in stores. Ensure consistency of message, voice and visual standards; optimize communication channels, delivery, and measurement. Balances strong design expertise with disciplined project management to plan, prioritize, and deliver communications on time and at scale.

Has a strong passion and advocacy for the field and their success and uses that passion as the lens through which communication strategy is developed and implemented. Potential to lead and manage direct report(s). The base salary range for this role is $96,700 - $146,050.

The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Lead the design and execution of store-facing communications (guides, tasking, presentations, job aids) using PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe Creative Suite, ensuring alignment with Ross brand standards Manage implementation of communications by working with other departments. Interact independently with various departments on on-going projects. Plan, prioritize, and manage end-to-end communication timelines, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule in a fast-paced retail environment Own and evolve internal visual and written design standards, templates, and style guides to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all communications Responsible for managing store communications tools like task management system or SharePoint site, and store web pages to ensure operational execution, reporting, and feedback collection.

Responsible for supporting employee engagement through the development of visually compelling newsletters, videos, and leadership communication materials. Create engaging visual solutions-including layouts, infographics, icons, and light motion/animation-that simplify complex operational content and improve retention. Understands the importance of voice and tone and is able to adjust both to ensure communications are of highest impact.

Manages the scheduling and gate keeping of communication to stores as needed. Interacts with all levels of management (President, Vice Presidents, District Managers and Stores). Partner with external vendors to develop instructional materials for Stores and other functional areas as needed.

Support planning and execution of key field events (e.g., Store Manager and Field Leadership conferences), including visual content development and materials. Must be able to balance multiple priorities at once and get more done in less time (process management). Able to develop and maintain detailed project plans and the associated budgets

Responsible for overseeing projects, solving complex challenges and ensuring projects are completed timely and within budget to meet the needs of the business. Translates appropriate associate facing communications into Spanish leveraging our existing translation portal and tools. Administration and Support Ensures that Department is providing a high level of service to all stakeholder groups and field leadership.

Provides support for all field management as needed. For example, compliance reporting, forming work committees, special projects, research, etc. Responsible for managing data collection as needed through task management or other online survey tools.

Responsible for all Store data entry and maintenance as needed. For example, electronic distribution lists, website information, etc. COMPETENCIES: People Building Effective Teams Developing Talent Collaboration Self Leading by Example Communicates Effectively Ensures Accountability and Execution Manages Conflict Business Business Acumen Plans, Aligns and Prioritizes Organizational Agility QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree preferably in graphic design, visual communications, communications, or related field.

5-7 years of work experience in relevant field. Strong portfolio demonstrating experience translating complex information into clear, visually engaging content (presentations, infographics, job aids, or training materials). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including basic copy editing and content structuring.

Ability to effectively interact with executive leadership autonomously and with confidence. Advanced PC Skills, Microsoft Office Applications, Publisher, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign. Experience with video creation and editing, or animated content preferred.

Strong project management skills. Understanding of retail store operations preferred. Must be able to organize, prioritize work and work independently.

Stays current with new communications technologies and processes, is naturally curious and is focused on continuous improvement. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish (speaking and writing) is preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA: Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.

Variance in work volume based on seasonal needs with other work predictable; fast-paced environment with a balance of planned and ad-hoc work; travel or other inconveniences have advance notice; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor. Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc. Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.

Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically. This role requires regular in-office presence (3 days), including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
