Overview

We're looking for a Motion Editor who really understands social.

Based in Toronto, you'll work for brands that want to show up in culture, not just post into the void. This isn't about maintaining calendars, it's about creating work people actually care about.

You'll help bring social-first ideas to life through editing, motion, design, storytelling, and platform-native craft. This role is for someone who knows how to turn footage, trends, creator assets, campaign ideas, and cultural moments into content people actually want to watch.

You'll work closely with creatives, strategists, account leads, producers, community managers, and creator partners to make work that moves fast without feeling disposable.

We're a growing agency, which means no passengers. You'll have real influence on how we work, what we make, and how we grow. If you like building as you go, you'll feel right at home.

And yes, this role is deeply plugged into culture. You're across platforms, creators, trends, and shifts in behavior before they hit the mainstream. More importantly, you know what's worth acting on, and what's just noise.

If you're excited by the idea of shaping standout work, building something meaningful, and leaving your mark on a fast-moving agency, we should talk.

Responsibilities
  • Edit and motion-design social-first content across always-on, campaigns, creator partnerships, pitches, and real-time cultural moments.
  • Turn raw footage, creator assets, campaign ideas, and social trends into clear, engaging stories built for platform behaviour.
  • Create short-form video, motion graphics, captions, supers, transitions, end cards, cutdowns, social adaptations, and presentation mocks.
  • Bring strong craft to pacing, sound, typography, layout, colour, visual hierarchy, and storytelling.
  • Partner closely with creative, strategy, account, production, media, community, and creator teams from brief through delivery.
  • Move quickly across multiple projects while maintaining accuracy, brand consistency, and high creative standards.
  • Adapt work across platforms and formats, understanding how content should shift for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging channels.
  • Identify social trends, editing styles, platform behaviours, and cultural moments that can inspire stronger creative work.
  • Use AI tools thoughtfully to support ideation, visual exploration, editing workflows, motion tests, storyboards, mockups, and production efficiencies.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in an agency, studio, content team, production company, or comparable creative environment.
  • A strong portfolio or reel showing social-first editing, motion design, storytelling, and platform-native content.
  • Strong working knowledge of Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and relevant creator tools such as CapCut.
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging social platforms, including formats, trends, specs, and best practices.
  • Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, sound, typography, colour, composition, visual hierarchy, and short-form storytelling.
  • Ability to move between polished campaign work, fast-turn social content, creator-style edits, and trend-led formats.
  • Comfortable interpreting creative feedback, solving production challenges, and protecting the quality of the final output.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple edits, deadlines, feedback rounds, and deliverables.
  • Curiosity and working fluency with AI tools such as RunwayML, Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT, or similar platforms is an asset.
  • A strong eye for internet culture, visual culture, creators, entertainment, memes, sports, emerging formats, and how technology is changing content.
