What This Position Is All About Under the direction of the Visual Manager, the Visual Associate creates an exciting visual environment in the store and supports all visual initiatives. The role includes merchandising the floor, creating interesting and appropriate window displays, and changing the apparel on all mannequins according to merchandising and visual standards set forth by Saks Fifth Avenue. Who You Are A strong achiever who meets and exceeds goals with minimal coaching. Generates innovative problem‐solving approaches. Proactive, solution‐oriented with a can‐do attitude. Minimum of 2 years visual team experience in a major multi‐level department store, with a portfolio of previously created projects. Proficient in safe use of carpentry tools. Experienced in painting techniques. Knowledgeable in basic production, materials, styling, and fashion pulls. Strong knowledge of current fashion and art trends. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and preference for Photoshop, Illustrator. As The Visual Associate, You Will Demonstrate initiative and a sense of urgency in "selling floor readiness" prior to store opening. Follow all directives and corporate guidelines set by the Visual Manager and Corporate Visual team. Execute all aspects of promotional and sale set‐up including presentation, lettering, signage on the sales floor; assist the Sales Support Team with trunk shows and personal appearance set‐ups. Assist in replenishing merchandise on the selling floor and in wall units. Perform ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
