Job description

SUMMARY
The QC Inspector is responsible for supporting product quality and ensuring manufactured components meet customer and industry specifications. This role performs detailed visual and dimensional inspections throughout the production process while maintaining accurate inspection records and supporting compliance with quality standards such as AS9100. The position offers the opportunity to work in a precision manufacturing environment with advanced inspection equipment and strong collaboration between Quality, Engineering, and Production teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections on parts and assemblies to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and workmanship standards.
  • Perform first article, in-process, final, and incoming material inspections as required.
  • Utilize inspection tools and equipment including comparators, CMM equipment, precision measuring devices, and various gages.
  • Review products using GD&T principles to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance.
  • Complete and maintain inspection documentation, quality records, and first article reports in electronic and manual systems.
  • Communicate quality concerns and nonconforming conditions to Production and Quality leadership in a timely manner.
  • Segregate and quarantine nonconforming material following established procedures.
  • Verify travelers and production documentation are complete and accurate before approving products.
  • Support calibration activities and maintain gage tracking records as needed.
  • Assist with CMM programming and other quality engineering activities when required.
  • Work collaboratively with Quality Engineering, Production, and Quality Management teams to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Follow AQL sampling requirements and internal quality procedures.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing or precision machining environment preferred.
  • Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments, inspection tools, and quality equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or other quality management systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Computer skills for data entry and quality reporting systems.
  • Experience with CMM operation or programming is beneficial.
