Job Description

The Final Finish Visual Inspector is responsible for inspecting tires using X-ray equipment to identify defects and required repairs. This role ensures that any scrap tires are properly sent to the Finished Goods Warehouse. Inspectors must be able to visually evaluate finished tires quickly while maintaining established quality standards.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Run/operate all finishing machines, x-ray machines, and any support machinery in the Commercial Final Finish department.
  • Take responsibility for 100% Inspection of Truck Tires, determine the disposition of the tires according to established standards, and remove any off standard tires from the conveyors for inspection, and make the recording of information.
  • Monitor current and ongoing product quality.
  • React quickly to equipment downtime or other extraordinary conditions and must notify supervision whenever such conditions occur.
  • Perform actions with a control panel interface, both automatic and manual.
  • Must be able to read and understand written and oral instructions as to specs, procedures, tolerances, and various construction and quality requirements. Communicate with other inbound and outbound operators, production operators, other crew members and supervision.
Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • HS diploma or equivalent GED
  • Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts - days, nights, and weekends
  • Minimum Silver level on the WorkKeys Assessment

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT

  • Previous experience in manufacturing environment 
  • Ability to operate Forklift.
