Job description

Job Description:

  • Readying classroom/studio space for the work of the semester.
  • Oversight of student work and instruction assistance.
  • Providing independent research for lectures outside of class time.
  • Giving technical demonstrations to students.
  • Supervision and chaperoning field trips that may be held outside of regularly scheduled class time.
  • Assisting classroom/studio readiness and clean up at the beginning and end of each class period.
  • Serve as lab monitor outside of class hours as needed.
  • Assisting with the end of semester studio/classroom clean up.
  • Work with staff in the Visual Art Dept. & other academic units to support course operations and development of student work.
  • Maintain and update course websites as needed.
  • Job Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalentcombination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Responsible, alert, organized, patient, personable, and punctual.
  • Ability to provide clear corrective instructions as needed.
  • Ability to make quick decisions and take decisive action. Assertive in enforcing facility rules and regulations consistently in a professional and customer service-oriented manner.
  • Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and physical ability to act swiftly in emergency situations.
