Job Description:
This position will be part of thexEVBusiness Unit and willbe responsible forproviding Supplier Quality support for new business development within the Americas Region. This position has direct contact with multiple departments within the region/manufacturing sites and will support customer requests when supplied parts are involved.The overall requirement of the Supplier Development Engineer is to ensure that raw materials and components meet all regulatory,customerand design requirements.
Knowledge for Quality Systems (IATF16949, APQP,PPAP/IPPAAR part approval, CAPA corrective/preventive actions, SAP, Control Plans, FMEA's, and Process Operation Standards)
Working knowledge of Quality Systems, including PPAP/IPPAAR part approval, CAPA corrective/preventive actions, SAP, Control Plans, FMEAs, and Process Operation Standards.
Strong understanding of GD&T, print interpretation, and electrical and mechanical schematics, with the ability to interpretcomponentpart specifications.
Experience in an engineering or technical role within automotive manufacturing, including support of Electro-Mechanicalprocessand knowledge of EV components(inverters,motors, etc.).
Proficient in structured problem-solving tools (5P, 5-Why, Fishbone, FTA) with strong root cause analysis capability.
Education:Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Quality, Engineering, Etc.)
Experience:2-3 years of relevant experience (see above stated qualifications)
Supervisory Responsibilities:No
Travel:Domestic (10 - 35%) and international (10 - 35%) travelwillberequired.
