Job Title: Marketing Intern

Division: Precision Pulley & Idler (PPI)

Location: Pella, IA - Onsite

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Job Status: Internship

Travel Required: 0-10%

Reports To: Culture Development Manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Marketing Intern will support PPI’s Marketing Communications team by creating engaging visual content and digital assets that help tell the PPI story and support marketing initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in graphic design, communications, and marketing through projects involving the website, social media, product launches, training, and print materials.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

More specifically, the Marketing intern will:

  • Work with the Marketing team to research, develop, and design marketing projects.
  • Create graphics and visual content for social media, the website, email, video, print materials, and other marketing channels.
  • Help maintain and update catalogs, flyers, and other marketing materials.
  • Support product launches, training initiatives, and customer-focused marketing projects.
  • Gather product information, photos, and other materials to support marketing projects.
  • Maintain PPI brand standards and visual consistency across marketing materials.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and other teams to gather information and develop accurate, engaging content.
  • Maintain a photographic library of products and product applications.
  • Stay current with graphic design trends and digital design tools.
  • Balance multiple projects and shifting priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Support special requests and promotional store administration as needed.
  • Participate in additional training and perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Communicate positively and professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and internal and external customers.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing or related field.
  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred
  • Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred
  • Must have completed sophomore year towards a degree in media arts or related degree
  • Proficient user of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks and problem solve
  • Ability to work as a member of a team in a collaborative environment
  • Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status


EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education and/or technical certificate program in a field related to the work done in the department
  • Proficient user of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
  • Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
