Job description

Description
Welcome to Yoga Joint!
Join the Team That's Redefining the Yoga & Wellness Experience
At Yoga Joint, we believe the member experience begins the moment someone walks through our doors. We're looking for an energetic, hospitality-driven, wellness-focused leader to help create an unforgettable studio experience while growing their career in fitness, sales, and operations.
We post this role as Lead Front Desk Associate because it's a familiar title - but within our studios, this position is known as a Lead Member Experience Associate. As a Lead Member Experience Associate (Lead MEA), you'll be more than a front desk associate - you'll be the heartbeat of the studio. You'll lead by example, inspire your fellow MEAs, drive studio sales, and create meaningful connections with members and first-time guests. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love wellness and fitness, enjoy building relationships, and want growth opportunities within an expanding brand, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
Create an Exceptional Member Experience
You'll help ensure our studios always look, sound, smell, and feel welcoming, elevated, and aligned with the Yoga Joint brand experience. From greeting members by name to ensuring every space is spotless and organized, you'll help create the kind of environment people can't wait to return to.
Lead & Support the MEA Team
You'll serve as the operational leader for the MEAs on shift by:
  • Guiding and supporting team members
  • Leading with professionalism and positivity
  • Helping train and onboard new MEAs
  • Reinforcing operational excellence and studio standards
  • Creating a culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and member experience

Drive Sales & Membership Growth
This role plays a major part in our studio growth strategy. You'll:
  • Connect with prospective members through our sales pipeline
  • Invite and book guests into classes
  • Build relationships that convert first-time visitors into loyal members
  • Lead the new member onboarding experience
  • Support retention efforts and reconnect with low-utilization members
  • Earn commission opportunities on top of hourly pay

If you love connecting with people and helping them begin their wellness journey, this role is incredibly rewarding.
Support the Studio Team
As a Lead MEA, you will work closely alongside the Studio Manager to help support daily studio operations, member experience initiatives, and MEA team success. In this role, you will serve as a lead presence for the MEA team by helping reinforce studio standards, offering operational support, and assisting with onboarding and guidance for new team members.
You'll collaborate with the Studio Manager on areas including:
  • Studio operations
  • Sales and member engagement
  • Retail support
  • Administrative tasks
  • Member retention efforts
  • Maintaining exceptional studio standards and organization

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking initiative, supporting their team, and helping create a positive, organized, and welcoming studio environment.
What We're Looking For
You may be the perfect fit if you:
  • Have a passion for yoga, fitness, and wellness
  • Naturally bring positive energy into every room
  • Love hospitality and creating memorable experiences
  • Are confident communicating with members and leading a team
  • Thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Take pride in organization, cleanliness, and attention to detail
  • Are motivated by sales goals and relationship-building
  • Have a growth mindset and want career development opportunities

Schedule Requirements
This is a full-time hourly position (30-40 hours/week).
Open availability is required, including:
  • Early mornings (as early as 5:30 AM)
  • Evenings
  • Weekends

Preferred Experience
  • Customer service, hospitality, fitness, retail, or wellness experience preferred
  • Sales experience is a plus
  • Entry-level candidates with strong energy and leadership potential are encouraged to apply
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable using basic computer systems and technology

What You Can Expect
  • A positive, high-energy work environment
  • Leadership and growth opportunities
  • Ongoing management training and development
  • Commission earning potential
  • A supportive wellness-focused culture
  • The opportunity to make a real impact on members' lives every day

If you're passionate about wellness, hospitality, leadership, and creating incredible experiences, we'd love to meet you.
